EifeltowerIn France I’m heading straight for Paris. The original journey in 1907 wanted to start there but changed it’s plans due to weather conditions on the track. From Paris where officially my 0th kilometer will begin directly under the Eifel tower I want to travel even a bit more to the west and touch the Atlantic Ocean. Then I’ll go in a loop to southern France and the French Alps taking some historic Tour de France climbs.

China

China is by far the most giant country on the route, not only by sheer size but also by the number of people living there. And my knowledge about it approximates about zero. But finding a way and having a wonderful time there I will. I have to take care not to get stuck in the Himalaya :-)

Hey guys, I have arrived in Osh, Kyrgyzstan after 3 days of 101, 150 and 195km – I haven’t written anything yet because I was so keen on cycling – couldn’t upload the text from here anyway. But cool pictures I got – will post them soon.

My further journey goes to Sary Tash and then Irkeshtam where I will enter China – waiting for a faster connection. Before I’ll arrive there there’s a pass (Taldyk) of 3615m to cycle – will be a lot of fun I guess :-)

Hi, I’ve just passed Lanzhou and am going for Inner Mongolia now. The last two days brought 180km each day and I hope to continue at that speed to Beijing. Till then, Daniel.
